Domestic Violence Awareness Month Maker's Faire
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It was first observed in 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as a Day of Unity. Their intention: to connect domestic violence advocates across the country. The Shreveport-Bossier NOW Chapter wants to raise awareness for domestic violence survivors in our community and the resources that help them along their healing journey. We are hosting a Maker’s Faire from which a portion of the proceeds will go to Project Celebration to aid them in their outreach in our area. This Maker’s Faire is open to all makers and vendors who have a desire to support domestic violence survivors. There will be a booth fee in order to reserve a space to be
